2. GENERAL
General Questions
What is HEED?
HEED is an emotional wellness platform that gives you two ways to find support: you can talk to a Heeder for peer support or connect with a licensed therapist for professional care.
Heeders bring lived experience and empathetic listening. Therapists provide structured support within their professional qualifications.
What is a Heeder?
A Heeder is a trained peer-support listener who has their own lived experience.
A Heeder can listen, talk things through with you and offer understanding from a place of having been through difficult experiences themselves.
A Heeder is not a therapist and does not provide diagnosis or clinical treatment.
What does a therapist do on HEED?
Therapists on HEED provide professional mental-health support. The platform includes therapists across 100+ specialties, with sessions starting from ₹399 per 30 minutes.
Who can use HEED?
HEED is designed for people who want a private, judgment-free place to talk or are looking for professional mental-health support. It serves users across India, with a broad audience from late teens through adults.
How is HEED different from a therapy-only platform?
HEED brings peer support and professional therapy together in one platform.
You can talk to someone with lived experience through the Heeder service, or choose professional support from a licensed therapist. The two forms of support remain clearly separated.
Does HEED only provide therapy?
No. Therapy is one part of HEED.
The platform includes TALK for peer support, HEAL for professional care, GROW for workplace wellbeing and SHARE for stories and educational content.
3. PRIVACY & SECURITY
Privacy & Security
Can I talk to a Heeder anonymously?

The exact information required during account creation and what a Heeder can see should always match the current product experience and Privacy Policy.
Are Heeder conversations confidential?
HEED positions Heeder conversations as private, judgment-free peer support.
Heeders are there to listen rather than provide clinical treatment. The specific handling, storage and disclosure of conversation data is governed by HEED's current privacy policy and platform processes.
Are therapist sessions confidential?
Therapist sessions are subject to the professional and privacy requirements applicable to the therapist and HEED's policies.
For specific information about data collection, storage, access and disclosure, refer to the current HEED Privacy Policy.
Does HEED share my personal information?
HEED's privacy practices are intended to protect user information. The exact categories of information collected and circumstances in which information may be shared should be explained in the current Privacy Policy.

5. GETTING STARTED
Getting Started with HEED
How do I get started with HEED?
Start by choosing the kind of support you're looking for.
If you'd like to talk to someone with lived experience, choose a Heeder.
If you're looking for professional mental-health care, explore the Therapist option.
How do I choose between a Heeder and a therapist?
Think about what you need from the conversation.
A Heeder can be a good option when you want someone to listen and understand from lived experience.
A therapist is the appropriate choice when you're looking for structured professional support.
They are different forms of support and one does not replace the other.
Can I change from a Heeder to a therapist?
HEED's model is designed to keep both support options within the same platform. The exact user flow for moving between services should follow the current app experience.
How do I book a therapist?
Browse the available therapist profiles, review their professional information and choose a therapist based on your concern and the options available to you.
How do I start a conversation with a Heeder?
Choose the Heeder/peer-support option and select an available Heeder. HEED's current service structure describes Heeder support through chat, call or video with instant connection.
Do I need to book a Heeder in advance?
The current Brand Book describes Heeder support as immediate and available through instant connection without advance appointments.
6. CRISIS & SAFETY
Crisis & Safety Guidance
Is HEED an emergency service?
HEED is not a crisis or emergency service.
HEED provides emotional wellness support and professional mental-health care, but it is not designed to handle emergencies or crisis situations.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency service or an appropriate crisis-support service.
Do not wait for a HEED session when urgent help is needed.
Can I use HEED during a mental-health emergency?
No. HEED should not be used as a substitute for emergency or crisis care.
Heeders and therapists may help identify when someone needs more urgent support, but HEED itself is not an emergency service. This boundary is a mandatory part of HEED's content and safety guidance.
What if I am worried about someone's immediate safety?
If there is an immediate risk of harm, contact the appropriate local emergency service or crisis resource rather than relying on HEED.
