“I thought I was over it. I wasn't.”
A personal story about what happens after a relationship ends — and why moving forward isn't always as quick as people expect.
Read Story →WHY IT MATTERS
People often think they're the only ones struggling with something because nobody around them talks about it.
A story can change that.
Reading about someone else's experience can help a person recognise something they have been feeling themselves. It can make a difficult conversation feel a little less frightening. And sometimes, it can give someone the courage to look for support.
HEED's SHARE space is built for exactly that — bringing real experiences, stories and conversations around emotional wellbeing into the open.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We want this to be a space where people can speak honestly while also feeling respected and protected.
If you prefer, your story can be published with a first name, initials, a chosen name, or anonymously.
Please don't include information that could identify another person without their permission.
Tell us about your own experience. We welcome honest stories about difficult experiences, relationships, emotional wellbeing, therapy and personal growth.
We don't publish content that attacks, threatens, harasses or exposes another person.
Every story goes through a review before it is published. Our team may contact you if we need to clarify something, remove identifying information or confirm that you are comfortable with the final version.
Submitting a story does not guarantee publication.
We may make small changes to spelling, grammar, length or formatting so the story is easier to read. We won't change the meaning of your experience.
